Work

Work for me is about service, it's about loving what you do and doing it to the absolute best of your ability.  I have varied interests and passions, most of which all seem to culminate in a burning desire to help change and work towards the protection and rights of women and children. My work for Women in Business is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the work i wish to accomplish regards the elevating and edification women.
Some of my work consists of the uplifting of women through a charity called Woman Against rape WAR see some info below....

As a Director of Woman Against Rape (WAR) and as a concerned citizen I ask that you consider us as your charity of choice.  Rape is on the increase in South Africa with a woman and/or child being raped every 16 seconds that being one in 4 people in South Africa are raped at some time in their lives..... terrifying!. We, at WAR,  deliver about 500 comfort packs a month (each cost R100) to Hospitals, Police Stations, Trauma Centers and Safe Houses in Gauteng and we have 3 centers in Kwa Zulu Natal.

 

A comfort pack consists of a hand sewn bag, lip ice, soap, deodorant, face cloth, towel, sanitary towel, clean underwear, cream, chocolate and a teddy bear, these are handed immediately to the rape victims after the rape.  We work closely with the centers and where possible send the victims for counseling.  We also work with other centers sending victims to learn skills which will help them out of abusive situations and put a plate of food on their table.
